These vintage industrial end tables were a plain grey to start with. The perfect canvases for a rusty patina finish to make them look as if they were a lost treasure found from the bottom of the ocean. We primed the pieces, as we were using a paint and acid mix to give a real patina. That's right, this patina is the real deal. We use a specialty paint mixed with metal particles that when hit with an aging solution creates the oxidized metal finish, the patina. With the background done we started on our Medusa, the Snake-Haired Gorgon. A beautiful mortal, Medusa was the exception in the family, until she incurred the wrath of Athena. These portraits of Medusa are based on the bust by Daniele Danko Angelozzi. We kept the inside of the cabinets and drawers the original metal grey finish. A great addition to anyone's decor who loves Greek Mythology.
